dc.description.abstract | The use of visual aids in teaching-learning process involves several aspects as how students comprehend and produce the language and the correct use to achieve language goals in an EFL class. It is a long process that takes practice and time to dominate the use of visual aids for students to learn English, with the time, these strategies can be improved always taking into account the opinion of experts in this field. The common visual aids applicated in an EFL classroom are pictures, when we teach with images new vocabulary, videos, educational videos in English about grammar or new topics for students, presentations as power point presentations, graphic organizers, mind maps, concept maps, comparative charts and textbooks or coursebooks as the ones that English program create for our students according to their school grade. In this document I present the study of visual aids to facilitate production and comprehension in an EFL class. I focus in pictures, graphic organizers and videos as the principal materials to achieve lesson goals according to the third-year group in a Secondary School. The following document contains the previous research, the analysis of different lesson plans and the challenges that the education in distance carried in this last year of practices. Besides, the results that students showed according to the use of visual aids in asynchronous classes and the learning process in COVID period. The information about the use and creation of visual aids is based in authors that developed their investigations in education. | en_MX |
